Candle Care

Please follow these candle care instructions to ensure your new favourite candle burns correctly and you get the best out each and every burn.

FIRST BURN

When lighting your new candle for the first time, please ensure you burn it for a 3/4 hour period, or until all the solid wax has melted right to the edges of its container. This will ensure that your candle will not tunnel and therefore you will get the most out of your candle with no wastage.

TRIM YOUR WICK

* ALWAYS TRIM YOUR WICK BEFORE EACH AND EVERY BURN!!! *

Once you have allowed your candle to cool and the wax return to its solid state, before lighting again, make sure you trim the wick of your candle. This can be done by simply pinching the blackened part of the wick between your thumb and fore finger, anything that comes away freely is to be discarded, anything that is left attached is ready for you to light again. This ensures that the candle will burn properly without producing smoke/soot and that your candle burns correctly.

If smoking occurs, extinguish the candle flame allow the wax to cool and then trim the wick again.

BURN TIMES

  • We strongly advise that your candle not burn for longer than 4 hours at a time.
  • Ideal burn period for the large candle is 3-4 hours.
  • Burning your candle for too long can cause the melt pool in the candle to become too deep, causing a larger flame which will result in your candle smoking and the candle container overheating.
  • Please make sure you always follow candle safety guidelines when burning any candle.

WAX MELT CARE

  • All our wax melts are suitable to be used in either an electric melter or a tea light wax melter. Its recommended to turn your wax warmer off once you can smell the fragrance in the room, This will help your wax retain its scent longer.
  • No need to change out the wax after each time you burn it. Keep the same wax in the burner until you can no longer smell the fragrance.
  • For stronger scent results, use a full wax melt at a time, for a more subtle scent cut the wax melt in half with a knife and place the desired amount of wax in your melter.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  • Do not leave tea light wax warmer unattended whilst in use, and always refer to manufacturers instructions.
  • Only use a wax melter on a level and heat resistant surface.
